Barcelona stopped being a one-Estrella town a while ago: there are bars with 30 taps, a brewery in an old factory building and huge beer halls for watching football. BierCaB, L'Ovella Negra and Pivobar come from my list of saved places; I added Kælderkold, Abirradero, La Cervecita Nuestra de Cada Día, Craft Barcelona, Fàbrica Moritz and Beercelona based on Google Maps ratings. The descriptions are compiled from Google Maps reviews. If you'd rather take beer home, here are Barcelona's wine and beer shops.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 11 October 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.12.

Barri Gòtic
Craft Barcelona
Barri Gòtic · beer bar with live music · 10–20 € (≈$11–22) · Mon 19:00–1:00, Tue 19:00–2:00, Wed–Thu 19:00–2:30, Fri 19:00–3:00, Sat 16:30–3:00, Sun 19:00–1:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Paradís, 4
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 3,200+): a cosy bar with a vaulted cellar and live music almost every night, mostly rock, plus jam sessions and open mic nights where guests get up to sing or play with the band. Pintxos come with the beer. Craft beer fans point out that fewer than half the taps are actually craft, and a pint costs 9–10 €, more than bars nearby; you're really paying for the music.
Kælderkold Craft Beer Bar
Barri Gòtic · craft beer taproom · 10–20 € (≈$11–22) · daily 11:00–2:30, Fri–Sat until 3:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Cardenal Casañas, 7
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 1,700+): a narrow bar a few steps from the Rambla and the Boqueria that reviewers say still doesn't feel touristy. Its 17–20 taps pour local and house craft beer, from lagers and pilsners to grisettes and altbier; the bartenders let you taste before you order, and you can build your own flight of five. Seating is scarce, the bar gets cramped and hot, there are no bottles or cans, and some find the IPAs weaker than the lagers.
Poble-sec
Abirradero: CraftBeer & Tapes
Poble-sec · brewpub and tapas bar · 10–20 € (≈$11–22)
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Vila i Vilà, 77
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 3,400+): unremarkable from the outside, but inside it's a brewery pouring its own beer plus guest taps from other local brewers. The bartenders know their beer and let you try a few; the food is classic Barcelona tapas, burgers and vegan dishes, and there's a tapas-and-beer pairing menu. You can sit on the terrace, at the bar or at tables at the back; the crowd is mostly local, and it's handy before a show on Paral·lel. Google lists no opening hours, so check the website.
Eixample and Sant Antoni

BierCaB
Esquerra de l'Eixample · craft beer bar · 20–30 € (≈$22–34) · Tue–Sat 14:00–0:00, closed Sun–Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Muntaner, 55
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 4,300+): many call it the best place for craft beer in the city, with 30 taps of local and international beer and a selection that keeps changing. The room is big and nicely designed, and once inside you forget the busy city outside. The food gets almost as much praise as the beer: tapas, nachos and weekly specials like grilled garlic squid. The owner and bartenders are happy to suggest what to try.
Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona
Sant Antoni · brewery and restaurant · daily 12:00–1:00
Google Maps · website · Ronda de Sant Antoni, 41
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 14,000+): a huge beer hall in the historic Moritz brewery building. The beer is brewed on site, including less usual styles like a red IPA, and staff suggest beers to go with the food. Do go downstairs to the toilets: under glass you can see the old factory walls, pipes and machinery. The food gets mixed reviews: the ribs are praised, but many find the tapas bland and pricey for what they are. Evenings are loud and packed, and Barça matches are often on.
Pivobar
Sagrada Família · Czech beer bar · 10–20 € (≈$11–22) · daily 18:00–0:00
Google Maps · Facebook · Carrer de Provença, 505
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 720+): a tiny bar pouring fresh Czech beer the way it's done back home, and a meeting point for Barcelona's Czechs. The food is Czech too: fried cheese with potato salad, and a shot of Becherovka to finish. It's quiet enough to talk, and prices are fair. Not everyone likes the music or the owner's reserved manner, and the room is very small.
Poblenou

L'Ovella Negra Marina
Poblenou · beer hall · 10–20 € (≈$11–22) · Mon–Thu 9:00–17:00 and 19:00–2:30, Fri 9:00–16:00 and 17:00–3:00, Sat 17:00–3:00, Sun 19:00–2:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Zamora, 78
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 9,800+): a giant tavern in a former warehouse, with high ceilings, shared tables and beer towers on them. Football is the main reason to come: big matches are loud and fun, and the crowd is young, with lots of international students. There's gluten-free beer. The food is basic and hit-and-miss, and once the place is full no one else gets in, even to join friends.
Beercelona Bar
Poblenou · bar with a terrace · 10–20 € (≈$11–22) · daily 17:00–2:30, Fri–Sat until 3:00
Google Maps · website · Rambla del Poblenou, 118
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 1,000+): a neighbourhood bar with a terrace right on the Rambla del Poblenou: cold beer, sangria and spritz while people walk their dogs past. The staff get the most praise: a warm welcome, good English, and food even as the kitchen is closing. It isn't a craft beer bar, just a good place for a beer outdoors after a walk around the area.
La Cervecita Nuestra De Cada Día
Poblenou · beer bar and bottle shop · 10–20 € (≈$11–22) · Mon–Tue 17:30–22:30, Wed–Sat 12:00–14:00 and 17:30–22:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · Instagram · Carrer de Llull, 184
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 1,000+): a small, quiet bar with a big range: craft beer on tap and shelves of bottles and cans from around the world to take away. Prices are fair and the bartender knows his beer; IPA fans have plenty to choose from. Little English is spoken, there are few outdoor seats, and it closes early: after 22:00 you may not get served.
One last thing
If craft beer is the point, plan your evening for Tuesday to Saturday: BierCaB is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and La Cervecita closes at 22:30, so go there early in the evening and carry on at Kælderkold, open until 2:30. On big Barça match days, L'Ovella Negra and Fàbrica Moritz fill up well before kick-off, so arrive early or pick quiet Pivobar instead.
