Vintage shops in Barcelona: 10 thrift shops and markets

· · 7 min read

Four of these come from my list of saved places in Barcelona: Mahalo, La Principal, the Sunday-only Port Flea Store at the port and the Encants flea market. I added the other six from travel guides and reviews, mostly on Carrer de la Riera Baixa in El Raval, the city's main vintage street, and checked each one on Google. I left the chain stores out. I have no notes of my own yet, so the descriptions come from Google Maps reviews. Local labels, bookshops and design are in my pick of independent shops.

There are hardly any prices here, as Google doesn't list them for shops. Details valid as of 11 October 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.12.

In short

  • Vintage street: Carrer de la Riera Baixa in El Raval, with Lullaby Vintage and Arepa Queer two doors apart and La Principal retro&co around the corner.
  • Designer vintage: Le Swing in the Barri Gòtic, for Gucci, Versace, Burberry and Jil Sander.
  • Cheap: HUMANA Vintage, a charity thrift shop with frequent sales.
  • Sundays only: the book market by Mercat de Sant Antoni (8:30–14:00) and Port Flea Store by the sea (12:00–20:00).
  • Flea market: Mercat dels Encants by Plaça de les Glòries, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Mahalo Vintage Comtal

Barri Gòtic · vintage · Mon–Fri 11:00–20:30, Sat 11:00–21:00, Sun 12:00–20:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer Comtal, 13

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 380+): one of the best-known vintage shops in town and, for many, the best-curated: the 70s, 80s, 90s and Y2K, especially sportswear such as basketball jerseys, hoodies, denim and Hawaiian shirts. It's roomier than it looks from outside. Pricier than a regular thrift shop, the staff draw the odd complaint, and one buyer says their Barça shirt turned out to be fake.

Le Swing Vintage - Clothing & Accessories

Barri Gòtic · designer vintage · Mon 11:00–14:00 and 15:00–20:00, Tue–Sat 11:00–20:00, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Carrer dels Lledó, 4–6

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 110): a boutique of second-hand clothes and accessories from the big fashion houses, where shoppers leave with Gucci, Lanvin, Versace, a Burberry leather blazer or Jil Sander silk trousers. People praise the careful curation and the calm, uncrowded shop, with a resident dog. But some reviews of the owner are harsh: rudeness, and one describes discriminatory treatment of Black customers. You ring the bell to get in.

El Raval

Lullaby Vintage

El Raval · vintage and costume jewellery · Tue 15:00–20:00, Wed–Sat 12:00–20:00, closed Sun–Mon
Google Maps · Facebook · Carrer de la Riera Baixa, 22

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 150+): a small shop many call the best on Riera Baixa: clothes, bags and a big collection of vintage costume jewellery at reasonable prices. The owner, África, is praised for her warmth and for taking her time to help, and her husband painted the murals on the walls. It isn't open every day: closed on Sunday and Monday.

Arepa Queer | 90s & Y2k Tienda Vintage Barcelona

El Raval · 90s and Y2K vintage · Mon–Sat 11:30–20:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · Instagram · Carrer de la Riera Baixa, 24

According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 170+): a shop for 90s and 2000s clothes with a lovely interior and fun staff; bags and tops get the praise. Downsides: sizes run mostly small, and a few shoppers find prices inflated, with one finding the same piece on Vinted for a fraction of the price.

La Principal retro&co

El Raval · vintage and own merch · Mon–Sat 12:00–15:00 and 16:00–20:00, Sun 12:00–19:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer d'Elisabets, 3

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 120+): a small shop with retro clothes and accessories from the 70s to the 90s in good condition, plenty of it streetwear. A separate reason to drop in is their own line with Barcelona '92 Olympics-style designs. The owner is praised for being helpful and knowing his stuff. It closes from 15:00 to 16:00.

HUMANA Vintage

El Raval · charity thrift shop · Mon–Sat 10:00–21:00, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Carrer de l'Hospital, 91

According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 500+): the vintage shop of the Humana charity chain, with low prices and frequent sales, up to 40% off everything. Luck varies: some find several good pieces at once, others complain there's barely any curation, some clothes are in poor shape and the music is too loud. Reviews of the staff are mixed too.

Sant Antoni

GIJOE SURPLUS

Sant Antoni · army surplus · Mon–Sat 10:00–14:00 and 16:30–20:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Ronda de Sant Antoni, 49

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 940+): a military surplus shop with new and used army clothing, boots, pouches and genuine old pieces such as a Soviet WWII gas mask. Collectors come here, and so do people after tough clothes for camping; prices are called affordable and the staff very friendly. Your size isn't always in stock.

Mercat del Llibre Dominical de Sant Antoni

Sant Antoni · Sunday book market · Sun only 8:30–14:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Comte d'Urgell, 1

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 1,200+): on Sundays, stalls set up around Mercat de Sant Antoni with old books, comics, newspapers, postcards, stickers and other collectables. Prices are affordable and some sellers take cards, but bring cash. Reviewers say not to expect rarities: it's more of a pleasant morning stroll.

By the sea and the flea market

Port Flea Store

Port Olímpic · vintage and upcycling · Sun only 12:00–20:00
Google Maps · website · Moll de la Marina, 4

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 19): a shop by the sea at the port that only opens on Sundays. Expect lots of Y2K, sunglasses, branded pieces (Burberry gets a mention) and upcycled clothes. Reviews are few, but all of them praise the selection and the setting, as the beach is right there after you shop.

Mercat dels Encants

Glòries · flea market · Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat 9:00–20:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer de los Castillejos, 158

According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 4,000+): Barcelona's oldest flea market, now under a huge mirrored canopy by Plaça de les Glòries. The lower level is where you dig for second-hand clothes, furniture, books, crockery and odds and ends, with auctions in the mornings; higher up it's mostly new goods. Opinions split: treasure hunters love it, especially the costume jewellery stalls, while anyone expecting antiques finds it a junkyard, with some goods laid out on the ground. Closed on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

One last thing

El Raval makes one easy walk: Riera Baixa, Carrer d'Elisabets and Carrer de l'Hospital are a couple of minutes apart, and Mahalo and Le Swing are about fifteen minutes away across Las Ramblas. Wednesday to Saturday is best, when every shop is open, Lullaby included; keep Sunday morning for the Sant Antoni book market and Port Flea Store, and go to Encants in the morning on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday.

More on Barcelona: independent shops, markets and food shops, wine and beer shops.
