Wine and craft beer shops in Barcelona: 6 local favourites

· · 4 min read

The duty-free isn't the best place to pick up good wine or craft beer from Barcelona. This is a selection from my list of saved places: wine shops with real advice, beer shops where you can drink from the tap, and a shop with everything for cocktails. The descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews.

There are hardly any prices here, as Google doesn't list them for shops. Details valid as of 30 September 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.

In short

  • Discounted Spanish wine: Outlet de Vins, which also handles tax free.
  • Affordable French wine: Vins Nicolas.
  • Craft beer: OKasional Beer with taps at the back, and Espiga with its own beer.
  • Takeaway until 22:00: Sol de Gràcia, about 3 € a bottle.
  • For your home bar: Cocktailshop and its masterclasses.

Wine, beer and cocktails

Outlet de Vins

Eixample · wine shop · Mon–Sat 10:30–20:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Villarroel, 209

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 300+): a big range of discounted Spanish wines, plus French, Portuguese, German and Austrian bottles and sometimes older vintages that are hard to find in Barcelona. The staff are the main draw: they match wines to your taste and grape, will spend an hour with you and handle the tax-free paperwork.

Vins Nicolas

Eixample · French wine · Mon 16:30–20:30, Tue–Sat 10:00–14:00 and 16:30–20:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Carrer de València, 338

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 60+): a French wine shop covering Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône, Beaujolais crus and even the Jura, much of it inexpensive. A good place to explore French wine without breaking the bank. The owner is praised for his hospitality; the one complaint is a half-hour wait while he chatted with another customer.

OKasional Beer

Sant Antoni · craft beer · Mon–Sat 11:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:30 (Thu no break, Fri until 21:00), closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Casanova, 11

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 360+): for many, the best beer shop in town: Spanish and international craft, hoppy beers, stouts, alcohol-free. You can drink at the back, where there are 4–5 taps, mostly IPAs. The owner really knows her beer and, if she doesn't have what you want, will send you to a competitor. Some find the prices a little high.

Espiga Craft Beer Shop

Sagrada Família · craft beer · Mon–Sat 12:00–15:00 and 16:30–21:00 (Fri until 22:00), closed Sun
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Provença, 365

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 280+): the shop of a local brewery, with its own award-winning beers plus Spanish and imported craft in bottles and cans. Generous tasting flights, and the owner and brewer are happy to talk you through their beer. Espiga has a second shop, Rosses i Torrades at Carrer del Consell de Cent, 192 (4.7 from 180+), with more beer to take away and a few tables; reviewers find this one more personal.

Sol de Gràcia

Gràcia · craft beer to take away · Mon–Sat 10:00–22:00, closed Sun
Google Maps · Carrer dels Xiquets de Valls, 9

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 150+): it looks like a small grocery, but it's a beer geek's paradise, with a huge range of European, US and UK craft at fair prices, around 3 € (≈$3.40) a bottle. They stock Club-Mate too. No drinking on the premises, take-away only, but it's open until 22:00.

Cocktailshop

Gràcia · cocktail supplies · Fri 19:00–21:00 and Sat 16:00–20:30 only
Google Maps · website · Carrer de la Virtut, 12

According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 280+): a bar-equipment shop with a good selection of spirits and liqueurs. It also runs cocktail workshops that get rave reviews, including as a group outing. Some reviewers say the quality of certain accessories isn't great. The shop is only open a few hours a week.

One last thing

All of these shops are closed on Sunday, and Cocktailshop opens only a few hours a week, Friday 19:00–21:00 and Saturday 16:00–20:30. If you're choosing wine as a gift, go to Outlet de Vins on a weekday: the staff may spend an hour with you.
