I've already written about the Eixample on its own, but my list of saved places still had plenty of restaurants in the area left over, from Consell de Cent to the Sagrada Família: tapas and seafood, Italian, a Brazilian grill, Egyptian and Galician food, brunch spots. The descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews, and I'll add my own notes as I visit.
Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 1 October 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.

Eixample: Consell de Cent and around

Vinitus
Eixample · tapas and seafood · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · daily 11:00–1:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Consell de Cent, 333
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 17,700+): a loud, fun tapas bar with a long wine list, around 70 labels by guests' count. The seafood tapas get the praise: prawns, razor clams, cuttlefish, lobster rice, plus honey cod and beef with foie gras. Staff are quick and cope well even with the crowds. In the evening there's a long queue outside, so come early; solo diners get seated faster.
Gloria Osteria
Esquerra de l'Eixample · Italian · 30–70 € (≈$34–79) · daily 13:00–16:00 and 18:30–23:30, Fri–Sun from 12:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer d'Enric Granados, 86
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 12,200+): a showy Italian osteria with a beautiful dining room, good music and very attentive waiters. Reviewers praise the pizza, the truffle carpaccio, vitello tonnato, burrata and the big sharing meat platters. The downsides: there can be a queue at the door even with a booking, it's noisy near the kitchen, and the truffle pasta has been sent back more than once for being too salty. Don't go without a reservation.
Santa Anita
Esquerra de l'Eixample · tapas and terrace · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Mon–Thu from 16:30–17:00 to 23:00, Fri–Sat 11:30–0:30, Sun 10:30–23:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Consell de Cent, 102
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 1,700+): a bar with a terrace on the pedestrian stretch of Consell de Cent, where people sit with beer and sangria in the evening breeze and watch the kids play. Reviewers like the pan con tomate, steak tartare, burrata, hummus, artichokes and the potato tapas. Some find the food average and recommend it more for drinks and atmosphere than for dinner.
Más Que Sushi
Eixample · sushi and Asian · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · daily 13:00–16:00 and 19:30–23:00
Google Maps · website · Ronda de la Universitat, 29
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 1,400+): a huge menu of sushi, noodles, bao, dumplings, soups and fried dishes, ordered on a tablet and served very fast. A good way to try lots of things cheaply, with vegetable rolls for vegans. The downsides: the fish is sliced thin, the rice can be dry, and the robot cat that families come for doesn't always make it to the table. Expect a queue at lunchtime.
La Fuga
Eixample · Italian café-restaurant · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Mon–Sat 10:00–0:00, Sun 10:00–18:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Consell de Cent, 350
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 2,200+): a cyclists' café with road bikes everywhere, an open kitchen and a quiet back patio. The morning coffee gets praise, and so do the homemade pasta and seasonal dishes. Reviews of the food are uneven, though: complaints about a pizza more like a dry cracker, lasagne cold in the middle, high prices and rigid rules about terrace seating.
Guanabara
Dreta de l'Eixample · Brazilian grill · 40–50 € (≈$45–57) · daily 13:00–16:30 and 20:00–0:00, Fri–Sat until 0:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Consell de Cent, 403
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 8,200+): Brazilian rodízio, with unlimited meat brought to the table and a buffet of salads, sushi, ceviche and a hot Brazilian dish. A lovely room full of plants, cocktails and friendly waiters; you get a two-hour slot. The beef and pork get more praise than the lamb and chicken, and the meat is sometimes undercooked. Book ahead.
Eixample: Diagonal and Sagrada Família

Baldomero
Dreta de l'Eixample · brunch and lunch · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Mon–Fri 8:00–21:00, Sat–Sun 9:00–17:00
Google Maps · website · Passatge de Mercader, 16
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 747): a spacious café-restaurant in a quiet passage with a beautiful interior, calmer than the trendy brunch places that are always packed. Reviewers like the coffee, the big portions and the set lunch menu, which starts around 13:00. The breakfast menu is thin, prices are a bit high, and at weekends it's brunch only: you may be turned away for just a coffee even with free tables.
Farga
Eixample · café-restaurant and pâtisserie · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Mon–Fri 8:00–21:30, Sat–Sun 9:00–21:30
Google Maps · website · Avinguda Diagonal, 391
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 3,400+): a smart café with indoor and terrace seating on the Diagonal, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reviewers praise the avocado toast with vegetables, Catalan dishes, doughnuts and cheesecake; cakes from the counter can be added to your bill or taken away. Good for vegetarians and families. The downsides: a shorter menu on weekend mornings and slow drinks on the terrace.
La Chirigota Brazil food
Dreta de l'Eixample · Brazilian · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Mon 9:00–17:00, Tue–Thu 9:00–0:00, Fri 9:00–3:00, Sat 13:00–3:00, Sun 13:00–17:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Mallorca, 272
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 1,500+): a Brazilian restaurant where people come to watch football, so book a table on match days. Reviewers like the cocktails, the generous portions and the friendly waiters. There are complaints too: a steak cooked wrong that the staff refused to redo, and attempts to upsell tourists to pricier dishes.
Restaurante Tùt
Sagrada Família · Egyptian · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 12:00–3:00
Google Maps · Carrer de Provença, 369
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 196): a small Egyptian restaurant near the Sagrada Família, open until three in the morning. Reviewers praise the falafel, which some call the best in town, a chicken dish with cinnamon, nuts and rice, shish taouk and mint tea, all at fair prices. The setting is basic: a dark room, uncomfortable chairs, a TV playing music videos and no outdoor tables. There are also some harsh reviews about stale food.
Restaurante El Gallego
Dreta de l'Eixample · Galician · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 11:00–23:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Lepant, 208
According to Google Maps reviews (4.1 from 748): a Galician restaurant with a seafaring décor near the Monumental. Reviewers like the menú del día with mussels, black rice and paella, the Galician soup that's hard to find in Barcelona, and the meat. Opinions are split, though: some guests write about oily food, a fishy smell and a lobster paella with hardly any lobster in it.
One last thing
Many places on this list close the kitchen between lunch and dinner, roughly 16:00 to 19:30–20:00: Gloria Osteria, Más Que Sushi and Guanabara. If hunger strikes at five in the afternoon, Vinitus, Tùt, El Gallego and Farga stay open all day.
More on Barcelona: more places to eat by area.
