The eastern half of Eixample runs from Arc de Triomf up to Diagonal and on to Sagrada Família and Fort Pienc. The basilica draws crowds, but a couple of blocks away there are tacos for a couple of euros, Venezuelan and Nepalese cooking and family restaurants where the owners do the cooking. The places come from my list of saved spots; the descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews, and I'll add my own notes as I visit.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 30 September 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.

One last thing
Many kitchens here close between lunch and dinner, roughly 16:00 to 20:00. Lasun, Hungaryto and Tumatey all work that way. If you get hungry in the gap, go to Los Güeros, Lluritu 3, Lavash, Royal Nepal or El Rincón de la Abuela Venezolana, where the kitchen stays open all day. And check closing days: Hungaryto is shut Monday to Wednesday, Lasun on Tuesday, Royal Nepal on Wednesday.
