Gràcia is the Barcelona where people live rather than sightsee: small squares, fewer tourists and no fewer good restaurants than in the centre. These are places from my list of saved spots; the descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews, and I'll add my own notes as I visit.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 30 September 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.
In short
- A Syrian street: on Carrer de Mozart, a couple of doors apart: La Caravana and Musta Shawarma, the cheapest filling dinner in this list.
- Seafood: Lluritu for fresh grilled seafood at fair prices; Botafumeiro, a classic for a special occasion, from 100 €.
- Book ahead: Casa Inés and Lluritu are small and nearly always full.
- Wine and small plates: PimplaVins for natural wine, and Oído. for a short menu that's close to fine dining.
- Late at night: Botafumeiro until 1:00 every day, La Caravana and Musta Shawarma until midnight.
Gràcia

La Caravana
Gràcia · Syrian · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 12:00–0:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Mozart, 15
According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 3,900+): a small, cosy, no-frills Syrian restaurant with hot and cold meze, grills, shawarma and Arabic sweets. Reviewers praise the falafel, hummus, shawarma both as a plate and a durum, and above all the homemade pistachio baklava. Service is warm and quick. There aren't many tables, but the queue moves fast; some find the lighting too bright, and the kunafa portion small.
Musta Shawarma
Gràcia · shawarma · 1–10 € (≈$1–11) · daily 13:00–0:00
Google Maps · Facebook · Carrer de Mozart, 4
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 2,400+): a shawarma counter on the same Carrer de Mozart as La Caravana. Reviewers love the chicken shawarma in generously stuffed homemade pita and the kofte with hummus; add the tahini and the hot sauce. Cheap and clean. Not everyone is a fan: one late-night guest found the meat odd-tasting.
Restaurant Salero
Gràcia · modern & fusion · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Mon–Thu 12:30–23:30, Fri until 0:30, Sat 12:30–18:00 and 19:30–0:30, Sun 12:30–18:00 and 19:30–23:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Tordera, 10
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 1,700+): a stylish, warmly lit dining room on a pretty Gràcia street, doing brunch, vegetarian dishes and Asian fusion. Reviewers praise the anchovies, the sharing dips, the beef tenderloin, an unusually wide choice of gyoza and homemade desserts such as a truffle with orange and dark chocolate. Good for a date without breaking the bank. One guest found the pad thai under-salted.
PimplaVins
Gràcia · wine bar with small plates · 10–40 € (≈$11–45) · Tue–Thu 18:00–0:00, Fri–Sat until 0:30, closed Sun–Mon
Google Maps · Carrer de l'Encarnació, 21
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 230): a relaxed wine bar with natural wines and small plates to share. Recommended: the courgette carpaccio, endives with pesto and pistachio, sourdough with miso butter, beetroot salad, asparagus and the beef. It fills up fast. Downsides: reviewers would like more wines by the glass, and some found the service inattentive, having to ask for wine and the bill.
Oído.
Gràcia · Spanish fusion · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Tue–Thu 20:00–23:00, Fri–Sat also lunch 13:00–15:30, closed Sun–Mon
Google Maps · Carrer de la Providència, 41
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 160+): a small modern restaurant with a short menu of a few small plates and a few mains. Produce and plating are close to fine dining, prices still affordable. Reviewers praise the mussels (with a crostini hidden at the bottom to soak up the sauce) and a chocolate dessert with olive oil and salt; the tip is a couple of tapas, then a main, and wine over beer. Downside: heat from the kitchen spills into the dining room.
Casa Inés
Gràcia · tapas bar · 30–40 € (≈$34–45) · Mon–Thu 13:00–15:30 and 20:00–22:30, Fri–Sun 13:00–16:00 and 20:00–23:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Ramón y Cajal, 146
According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 970+): a small tapas bar doing Catalan classics with a touch of haute cuisine; many call it one of the best in Gràcia. Reviewers praise the gildas, tartare, burrata, oxtail stew and bao buns. The bar seats are a pleasure: the bartender knows the menu, and a glass of natural wine is about 4.50 €. It's usually full, so book online; prices are a little above average.
Lluritu
Gràcia · grilled seafood · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Tue–Thu 13:00–15:30 and 19:30–23:00, Fri until 16:00 and 23:30, Sat 13:00–23:30, Sun 13:00–16:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Torrent de les Flors, 71
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 1,900+): a small, minimalist place where local seafood is simply cooked on the grill or the plancha. For many reviewers it's the best meal they had in Barcelona. The must-order is zamburiñas (baby scallops) in garlic butter, plus squid, prawns, mussels, red mullet, pan con tomate and Russian salad. Cheaper than the centre. Book a table, or come early and grab a counter spot by the wall.
Good Shit, Vegan Kebabs
Gràcia · vegan kebab to go · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 12:30–23:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer del Torrent de l'Olla, 138
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 790): fully plant-based kebabs: seitan durum, Heura kebab, gyros, falafel with hummus, fries with homemade mayo and chipotle mayo. Reviewers recommend adding their homemade "feta" and not skipping the cheesecake. Portions are generous, and non-vegans like it too. There's nowhere to sit, so it's takeaway only; people eat on nearby Plaça del Sol. Sometimes you order through a terminal.
Botafumeiro
Gràcia · seafood · from 100 € (≈$113) · daily 12:00–1:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer Gran de Gràcia, 81
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 9,500+): one of Barcelona's seafood institutions: a wood-panelled room, tanks of live seafood, waiters in suits, and a kitchen open until 1 am. Reviewers praise the octopus, baked spider crab, king crab with mustard cream, lobster paella, fish soup and croquettes. It's expensive, but many come back every trip. One guest found the main fish dish had an off smell.
Ben Tips
Vallcarca · bar: burgers & tapas · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 13:00–23:30
Google Maps · website · Av. de la República Argentina, 104
According to Google Maps reviews (4.1 from 2,400+): a simple neighbourhood bar with Belgian beers, tapas, bocadillos and burgers, where people watch football. Reviewers like the double smash burger (about 16.50 € with fries) and the pork loin with egg and chips; food comes fast, there's a terrace and a metro nearby. The rest of the menu is hit and miss, so stick to the burger.
One last thing
Some places in Gràcia close on Monday, and some on Sunday too: Lluritu, PimplaVins and Oído. If your dinner falls on one of those days, try La Caravana, Musta Shawarma, Casa Inés, Restaurant Salero or Ben Tips, which open every day.
