Asian Barcelona is more than sushi rolls: there are Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles, Korean barbecue, Thai food with honest heat, Vietnamese sandwiches and Indian tandoori. This is a selection from my list of saved places, and the descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews. The Japanese places, from omakase to izakayas and ramen, now have their own piece, and the Asian spots I already covered in my piece on world food in Barcelona aren't repeated here.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 30 September 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.

China and Korea
JIN LanZhou Ramen
Eixample · Lanzhou noodles · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 12:00–23:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer d'Aribau, 39
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 1,700+): hand-pulled noodles in the thickness of your choice; the traditional, slightly spicy soup gets the most praise. Beyond noodles, reviewers recommend the rou jia mo (flatbread with braised meat), the barbecue, chicken wings and pickled vegetables. You order through an app, food arrives fast, and it's all halal. Downside: the air conditioning blasts near the entrance.
He Cheng
El Clot · Chinese · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Wed–Mon 12:30–16:30 and 19:30–23:30, closed Tue
Google Maps · website · Carrer de la Independència, 361
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 1,300+): a neighbourhood Chinese restaurant that foreigners living in the city keep coming back to for years. Its strengths are noodles, dumplings and gyoza, soups and stir-fried vegetables, with light sauces and nothing heavy. The menu is only in Spanish and Chinese, and the service can be curt. Cheap: dinner for two with drinks comes to about 44 €.
Mosquito | Barcelona
El Born · Asian tapas & craft beer · 10–30 € (≈$11–34) · Mon–Fri 13:00–16:00 and 19:00–23:00 (Fri to 23:30), Sat 13:00–23:30, Sun 13:00–23:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer dels Carders, 46
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 3,900+): a tapas bar with Chinese small plates (shrimp and duck dumplings, big bao, soups, ribs, duck with rice, spicy fish) and an interesting beer list. Portions are small, so two people order 7–8 plates. The décor is fun but cramped; Asian diners rate the food as average, so it's more a place to hang out with friends. The menu suggests noodles are lunchtime only.
Hankook BBQ BCN Gran Via
Sant Antoni · Korean barbecue · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · daily 13:00–16:30 and 20:00–23:30 (Fri–Sat to 0:00)
Google Maps · website · Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 401
According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 1,100+): a spacious room with tabletop grills and all-you-can-eat formats, including a premium one. Reviewers praise the fresh produce, the energetic, friendly staff, easy ordering and good extraction: you don't leave smelling of barbecue. Good value for money.
Manbok Restaurant
Eixample · Korean · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Wed–Mon 12:00–16:00 and 19:00–22:40, closed Tue
Google Maps · Carrer d'Ausiàs Marc, 79
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 1,000+): a Korean restaurant with barbecue sets, bibimbap and refillable banchan. The barbecue set with a bibimbap gets the best feedback; the ventilation is good and the staff friendly. Reviews are uneven, though: some find the food bland and the japchae overcooked, and not everyone likes the waiter doing the grilling and mixing the bibimbap for you.
Southeast Asia
Thai Erawan BCN
Sants · Thai · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Tue–Sat 13:00–16:00 and 20:00–23:00 (Fri–Sat to 23:30), Sun 13:00–16:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Sant Pere d'Abanto, 16
According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 600+): a plain-looking place run by a couple: the Thai wife cooks, the Spanish husband runs the room. It's praised for authenticity and real heat: som tam with pla ra, grilled pork neck, tom saap, larb, red duck curry, and mango sticky rice. The main complaint is small portions for the price, especially on delivery.
El Petit Bangkok
Sant Gervasi · Thai · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Tue–Sat 13:00–16:00 and 20:00–23:00, closed Sun–Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Vallirana, 29
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 1,900+): a small Thai restaurant with a long menu and big portions; reviewers like the fresh shrimp-and-herb rolls and the fast service. It fills up quickly, so book. Not everyone buys the authenticity: some complain of bland curry that doesn't come with rice.
Banh Mio
Eixample · Vietnamese · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Thu–Fri 12:00–15:00, Sat 13:00–15:00, closed Sun–Wed
Google Maps · Facebook · Carrer de la Diputació, 225
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 180+): a small Vietnamese café with a short menu and good prices. Reviewers praise the generous banh mi with pork, beef or tofu, fried chicken bao, chicken pho, a herby lime chicken salad and crispy spring rolls. Some think the banh mi bread could be better. The catch: it's open for lunch only, three days a week.
Desoriente
Poblenou · vegan pan-Asian · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · daily 13:00–23:00 (Fri–Sat to 23:30)
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Ramon Turró, 209
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 2,800+): a fully plant-based Asian restaurant whose vegan sushi many call the best they've tried. Reviewers praise the tasting menu, the ramen, the arancini and a dessert that recreates a well-known chocolate bar; the staff are attentive, kids included. Book ahead. Downsides: some find portions small for the price, and it gets hot inside in summer.
India and Afghanistan
Daal Roti
Sant Gervasi · Indian · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · daily 12:00–23:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Brusi, 37
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 790+): an Indian restaurant that mixes the classics with regional dishes. Reviewers praise the butter chicken, korma, Madras curry, pani puri and masala dosa with sambar and chutneys; the lunch menu is generous, with curry served with both naan and rice. Diners who know India compare it with the best places there, and it travels well for delivery.
Preet Indian Tandoori Restaurant & Sweets
El Raval · Indian & sweets · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 10:30–23:30 (Fri–Sat to 0:30)
Google Maps · Carrer de Sant Pau, 55
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 470+): a no-frills Indian canteen and one of the cheapest meals in town; the veg biryani costs about 6 €. Reviewers praise the butter chicken, tikka masala, chicken biryani and the counter of Indian sweets. The dining room is small and unappealing, so many take their food away.
DÉJÀVU
Sagrada Família · Afghan & Iranian · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 11:00–0:00
Google Maps · Carrer de la Indústria, 156
According to Google Maps reviews (4.9 from 360): a family restaurant serving Afghan and Iranian food, where the owner explains every dish. The naan with dips is a must; reviewers also praise the Kabuli pulao and Shinwari lamb, and portions are good for sharing. You can finish with traditional tea.
One last thing
Many Asian restaurants keep Spanish hours: lunch until 16:00, a break, dinner from 20:00. Thai Erawan and El Petit Bangkok are closed on Mondays, He Cheng and Manbok on Tuesdays, and Banh Mio only opens for lunch Thursday to Saturday. If you want to eat at five in the afternoon, go where the kitchen runs all day: JIN LanZhou Ramen, Desoriente, Daal Roti, Preet or DÉJÀVU.
