Not every meal in Barcelona has to be a long dinner of tapas and wine. These are places from my saved Google Maps list where you can eat quickly and cheaply: focaccia sandwiches, Neapolitan pizza, burgers and kebab. Coffee and brunch now have their own piece. The descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews, and I'll add my own notes as I visit.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 1 October 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.

Sandwiches and panini

Bo de B
Barri Gòtic · bocadillos & plates · 1–10 € (≈$1–11) · Mon–Sat 12:00–22:00, Sun until 20:00
Google Maps · Facebook · Carrer de la Mercè, 35
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 3,600+): a tiny counter place where bocadillos in a warm, crunchy baguette and huge plates of chicken or beef with rice, lentils and vegetables cost around €8.50–9.50. Reviewers suggest adding feta, and there's homemade baklava on the counter. There are only a couple of dozen seats inside, and it's cash only.
COMPÀ Panino Calabrese
Gràcia · focaccia panini · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 11:00–22:45
Google Maps · website · Carrer de l'Escorial, 47
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 1,900+): a Calabrian focacceria that many reviewers who have tried all the others rank first in Barcelona. Fresh bread, homemade pesto, a much-praised porchetta sandwich and tiramisu; it's handy after Park Güell. A sandwich takes 10–15 minutes, and building your own works out a bit expensive.
Paninaro Gràcia
Gràcia · focaccia panini · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 12:30–23:00, Fri–Sat until 23:30
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Sèneca, 33
According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 400+): another Italian sandwich shop in Gràcia, which some reviewers rate above its rivals. They praise the classic with mortadella, stracciatella and pistachio pesto, the vitello tonnato, and the 'nduja with honey and walnuts; there are a couple of vegetarian options. A little more than an ordinary sandwich, but reviewers say the taste is worth it.
Sandwich Club Barcelona Poblenou
Poblenou · sandwiches & burgers · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Mon–Tue 11:00–17:00, Wed–Thu until 23:00, Fri until 0:00, Sat 10:00–0:00, Sun 10:00–17:00
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Badajoz, 67
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 360+): a stylish sandwich shop in Poblenou with pastrami, a Cuban, banh mi, burgers and crispy sweet potato chips. Reviews are mixed: some love the pastrami, others got very fatty meat, and the service depends on who's on shift.
Pizza

NAP
Sant Pere · Neapolitan pizza · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 13:00–23:00, Thu–Sun until 0:00
Google Maps · website · Av. de Francesc Cambó, 30
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 5,100+): an AVPN-certified Neapolitan pizzeria with a wood-fired oven, next to the Mercat de Santa Caterina. Soft, lightly charred dough, fresh toppings, big pizzas of around 35 cm and fair prices; the menu is short but has vegetarian options. The second address is Avinguda del Paral·lel, 94 (4.6 from 2,700+), where reviewers praise the margherita and the fast service, though takeaway orders sometimes go wrong.
Parking Pizza
Eixample · pizzeria · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Mon–Thu 13:00–16:00 and 20:00–23:00, Fri–Sat 13:00–23:30, Sun 13:00–23:00
Google Maps · website · Pg. de St. Joan, 56
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 8,200+): a pizzeria in a former garage behind a roll-up door on Passeig de Sant Joan, with shared tables and an industrial interior. Reviewers praise the margherita (about €13), the truffle and fontina pizza and the tiramisu; the pasta fares worse. It's not a place to linger: you eat and go, there can be a queue, and some find the pizza pricey for what it is.
Pizzería La Gavina
Gràcia · pizzeria · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Tue 20:00–1:00, Wed–Sat 13:00–1:00, Sun 13:00–0:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Ros de Olano, 17
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 960+): a small pizzeria in Gràcia with the feel of an old bar, and no terrace. Big pizzas with unusual toppings (walnuts, salmon, BBQ chicken) and a spicy oil on the side; takeaway takes about 15 minutes. Opinions are split: some reviewers found the ingredients bland and the pizza heavy.
Mad Radio Pizza Bar
Sant Pere · pizza & music bar · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · Tue 19:00–1:00, Wed and Sun 13:00–1:00, Thu until 2:00, Fri–Sat until 3:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Sant Pere Més Alt, 31
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 170+): a pizza bar and vinyl shop with DJs, gigs and a futuristic interior. Reviewers praise the thin pizza with a puffy crust and fresh tomato, the reasonable prices and the off-menu drinks; it's open late. Some guests find the service slow and inattentive.
Burgers

Fast Eddie’s
El Born · burger joint · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 14:00–23:00
Google Maps · Instagram · Carrer dels Carders, 6
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 3,400+): a tiny burger joint with a short menu; reviewers praise the double cheeseburger and the chicken burger, and there's a tasting-size cheeseburger too. There's barely any seating and often a waiting list, so many take away; you'll leave smelling of burgers, and some find the beef oily. One reviewer warns about pickpockets right outside, so watch your things.
CACHO Burgers
Poblenou · smash burgers · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Wed–Sun 13:00–16:00 and 19:00–22:30, Thu–Sat until 23:30, closed Mon–Tue
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Pujades, 195
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 150+): a new smash burger joint with a short menu and a combo with fries and a beer. Reviewers praise the juicy patty with egg, cheese and jalapeños, the black bean veggie burger and the homemade skin-on fries; prices are affordable and service is quick and friendly. The downside: it's closed Monday and Tuesday, and lunch ends at 16:00.
Kebab and falafel
Bocatas de Sultan
El Raval · kebab & falafel · 1–10 € (≈$1–11) · daily 12:00–0:00
Google Maps · Carrer de Joaquín Costa, 56
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 360+): the cheapest place on this list, known for fries at about €1.20. Reviewers praise the falafel bocadillos with fresh vegetables, the burgers, the big portions and the very welcoming owner. The downside: not everyone finds the fries fresh and crispy, but they are very cheap.
Bien Kebab
Sant Gervasi · kebab & natural wine · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Tue–Thu and Sun 13:00–16:00 and 19:30–23:00, Fri–Sat 13:00–23:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · website · Carrer de Sant Gervasi de Cassoles, 43
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 590+): a family-run kebab place with a Catalan accent: lots of vegetables, meat in pita or flatbread, four homemade sauces, natural wines and starters like labneh and aubergine with feta. Reviewers single out the pistachio cheesecake and the warm staff. But some long-time regulars say the quality of the meat has slipped lately.
One last thing
Many cheap places here close for an afternoon break: Parking Pizza, CACHO Burgers and Bien Kebab are shut roughly from 16:00 until 19:30–20:00. If you want to eat at an odd hour, NAP, Bo de B, COMPÀ, Fast Eddie’s and Bocatas de Sultan stay open straight through, and bring cash for Bo de B.
More on Barcelona: cheap coffee and brunch.
