Best bars in Warsaw: 7 craft beer, lounge and late bars

· · 5 min read

Five of these bars come from my own list of saved spots: mostly craft beer bars in the centre, on Foksal and Nowogrodzka, plus a terrace on Nowy Świat and a bar under a bridge in Powiśle. Two more — Plan B on Plac Zbawiciela and Bar Studio in the Pałac Kultury — I added on the advice of travel guides and checked on Google: still open, rated 4.2 or higher. The descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews; I haven't added my own notes yet.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 7 October 2026. Rate: 1 zł ≈ $0.26.

In short

  • Beer: Nowogrodzka, with Jabeerwocky and Kufle i Kapsle on the same street, and PiwPaw on Foksal.
  • A terrace: Wozownia Bar at the top of Nowy Świat, tapas and cocktails after work.
  • Where locals hang out: Plan B on Plac Zbawiciela — beer on the pavement, a crowd on Fridays.
  • In the Stalin-era tower: Bar Studio in the Pałac Kultury — from breakfast to 3 am at weekends.
  • Under a bridge: Karma Crew in Powiśle, a Belarusian bar with graffiti and vegan food, until 3:00 on Fridays.

PiwPaw Beer Heaven

Śródmieście · craft beer bar · 20–60 zł (≈$5–16) · Mon 16:00–23:00, Tue–Thu 16:00–0:00, Fri–Sat 13:00–2:00, Sun 13:00–23:00
Google Maps · Facebook · Foksal 16

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 5,900+): a beer bar on Foksal that walking-tour guides often recommend. There are close to a hundred taps of Polish and European beer and cider, tasters are available, and the walls are covered in bottle caps. A pint is about 25–40 zł. It's very busy in the evening, and the service draws occasional complaints, warm beer for one.

Jabeerwocky Craft Beer Pub

Śródmieście · craft beer pub · 20–60 zł (≈$5–16) · Mon–Tue 14:00–0:00, Wed–Thu until 1:00, Fri–Sat until 2:00, Sun 15:00–0:00
Google Maps · website · Nowogrodzka 12

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 4,600+): a central craft beer pub with a big beer selection and good music. Reviewers praise the pizza and the prices; it's best to sit outside, as it's stuffy indoors. Some find the bar staff not very chatty: fine if you know what you want, but for advice go to Kufle i Kapsle.

Kufle i Kapsle

Śródmieście · craft beer bar · 20–60 zł (≈$5–16) · Mon–Fri 15:00–2:00, Sat–Sun 14:00–2:00
Google Maps · website · Nowogrodzka 25

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 4,100+): a multi-tap bar on the same Nowogrodzka as Jabeerwocky, with a cosy industrial interior. Lots of craft beer on tap, good cocktails and snacks (the nachos get praise), and staff who are happy to recommend. Open until 2:00 every day. The downside: at peak times it's cramped, loud and packed.

Wozownia Bar

Śródmieście · lounge bar with a terrace · 40–60 zł (≈$10–16) · Mon–Thu 16:00–0:00, Fri–Sat until 1:00, Sun 16:00–23:00
Google Maps · Instagram · Nowy Świat 1

According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 1,800+): a bar with a big terrace at the start of Nowy Świat, a place to meet friends after work. Tapas (the egg and prawn ones get praise), cocktails and mocktails, and a long brunch at weekends. Reviews are mixed: by lunchtime some brunch dishes are gone, and at busy times the bartenders are slow.

Karma Crew

Powiśle · bar with vegan food · 20–40 zł (≈$5–10) · Mon–Thu 18:00–1:00, Fri 18:00–3:00, Sat 16:20–3:00, Sun 16:20–1:00
Google Maps · Instagram · Al. 3 Maja 15

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 470+): a Belarusian bar in Powiśle covered in graffiti, with a terrace under the bridge. A young, laid-back crowd, loud music, cocktails, craft beer, wine and alcohol-free beer. The food is vegan and more bar snacks than meals; reviewers praise the hot dogs from the seasonal menu and the cake of the day. A friendly crew.

Plan B

Plac Zbawiciela · bar with live music · 20–40 zł (≈$5–10) · daily 13:00–2:00
Google Maps · Facebook · Al. Wyzwolenia 18

According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 2,900+): an upstairs bar on Plac Zbawiciela — you order on the first floor and carry your drinks down to the pavement, where a big crowd of locals gathers on Fridays. Cheap beer (about 18 zł for a draught Kozel), and gigs from jazz to rock in the evenings. Downsides: several reviews complain of rude bartenders and over-strong cocktails, and the toilets aren't great.

Bar Studio

Pałac Kultury · café-bar · 40–60 zł (≈$10–16) · Mon–Thu and Sun 9:00–0:00, Fri–Sat 9:00–3:00
Google Maps · website · Pl. Defilad 1

According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 2,800+): a roomy bar inside the Pałac Kultury i Nauki with a 1950s feel and good music — breakfast in the morning (the rhubarb pancakes get praise), then pizza, beer, wine and cocktails, until 3 am at weekends. People come for the atmosphere more than the food; the pizza is unusual — one comes topped with crisps. Dogs welcome. Downside: one guest found it overpriced and the service unfriendly.

One last thing

Kufle i Kapsle stays open until 2:00 every day, so an evening on Nowogrodzka can start at Jabeerwocky and end next door. At Jabeerwocky, sit outside: reviews say it's stuffy indoors.

More on Warsaw: where to eat, what to see, coffee and breakfast, cocktail and wine bars.
