Four places here come from my list of saved places in Seville: an oyster bar and a tiny bar near the Alameda, a vintage shop on Calle Feria and the restaurant Desacato. The rest — classic tapas bars, a market and several restaurants — I added on the advice of travel guides, first of all 34travel. Every one is checked on Google — still open, rated 4.2 or higher. I haven't written my own notes yet, so all the descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews.
Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 7 October 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.12.

Tapas bars and a market

El Rinconcillo
Santa Catalina · the oldest tapas bar · 10–30 € (≈$11–34) · daily 13:00–17:30 and 20:00–0:30
Google Maps · website · C. Gerona, 40
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 14,000+): a bar opened in 1670 — old wood, jamón hanging from the ceiling and sliced in front of you, and the bill chalked straight onto the counter. Reviewers recommend the spinach with chickpeas, pork in whisky sauce and oxtail. At the bar you eat standing; book for a table or expect a queue. Pricier than the tapas bars around it, but everyone comes for the history.
Bodega Santa Cruz Las Columnas
Santa Cruz · tapas bar · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 8:00–0:00, Fri–Sat until 0:30
Google Maps · Facebook · C. Rodrigo Caro, 1
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 16,000+): an always packed local bar in Santa Cruz — order at the counter, eat standing, make friends with your neighbours. Tapas start at just over 3 € and arrive fast; the fried fish roe (huevas fritas) gets praise, and in the morning there are tostadas for breakfast. The terrace has only four tables.
Los Coloniales
San Pedro · tapas tavern · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · daily 12:30–23:30, Fri–Sat until 0:00
Google Maps · website · Pl. Cristo de Burgos, 19
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 7,300+): an inexpensive tavern with a terrace on quiet Plaza Cristo de Burgos. The star dish is pork tenderloin in port sauce; the salmorejo, octopus, Roquefort and sangria also get praise. The kitchen runs all day without a break — handy if you want to eat dinner early. Expect a wait at peak times, and one review complains of rude, slow waiters. 34travel recommends it too (article).
Mercado de Triana
Triana · market and bars · Mon–Sat 9:00–15:00, Sun 9:00–17:00
Google Maps · website · C. San Jorge, 6
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 11,000+): a market across the river in Triana, with food stalls and small bars serving seafood, jamón and tapas. Of the markets near the centre, it has the most places open. The tip from reviews is to come hungry. It also hosts cooking classes, paella among them.
Restaurants
conTenedor
San Luis · slow food restaurant · 30–40 € (≈$34–45) · Mon–Fri 19:30–23:30 (Fri until 0:00), Sat–Sun also lunch 13:30–16:30
Google Maps · website · San Luis, 50
According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 2,200+): a slow food restaurant with an eclectic, relaxed interior. The signature dish is duck rice; reviewers also praise the salmon tartare on cashew ajoblanco, sea bass, pork cheeks with pasta and cheesecake with pistachio ice cream. Most wines are under 40 €. Dishes come out when they're ready, so dinner easily stretches to two and a half hours — for many that's part of the pleasure. 34travel recommends it too (article).
Perro Viejo
Encarnación · Spanish food with Asian touches · 20–30 € (≈$23–34) · daily 13:00–16:00 and 20:00–23:30, Fri–Sun until 0:00
Google Maps · website · C. Arguijo, 3
According to Google Maps reviews (4.2 from 7,500+): a lively restaurant near the Setas that mixes Spanish classics with Asian ideas: duck rice, squid ink paella, yakitori, gyoza, prawn croquettes and bravas with an unusual twist. Booking for the evening is a must. Downsides: some found the food too plain for the bill, and service can forget you after the mains. 34travel recommends it too (article).
Chiquilla Restaurante
El Arenal · modern Spanish · 40–70 € (≈$45–78) · Mon–Sat 13:30–16:30 and 20:30–23:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · C. Pastor y Landero, 21
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 940+): a small restaurant with an open kitchen — sit at the counter and you can chat with the cooks. The menu is short and built on the produce: reviewers praise the rare tuna, grilled avocado, crab ravioli, very tender sirloin and the fish of the day, shared by the whole table. A good wine list. The only downside reviews mention is the small menu. Closed on Sundays.
Desacato Restaurante Sevilla
Alameda · modern cooking · 40–80 € (≈$45–90) · Tue–Sat 13:30–16:30 and 20:00–0:30, closed Sun–Mon
Google Maps · website · C. Amor de Dios, 7
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 990+): a restaurant with a nine-course tasting menu as well as à la carte. Reviewers praise the mussels, razor clams, salmon sausages, whipped butter, lamb and cheesecake, plus a good list of local wines. Downsides: small wine pours, hardly any soft drinks besides water, and service that can be slow and push you to order more.
Habanita
Alfalfa · vegetarian and vegan · 10–20 € (≈$11–23) · Mon, Thu–Sat 12:30–16:30 and 20:00–23:30, Tue and Sun 12:30–16:30, closed Wed
Google Maps · website · Cjón. Golfo, 3
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 1,400+): a Cuban-inspired vegetarian restaurant in a quiet inner courtyard. Reviewers praise the mushroom croquettes, tomato and lentil salad, almond soup, gazpacho and vegan flan. A good choice when you've had enough jamón and fried food and it's 40 degrees outside. Very friendly staff. 34travel recommends it too (article).
The Alameda and Calle Feria: drinks and vintage

Champanería Ostras & Puñales
Alameda · oysters and champagne · 20–30 € (≈$23–34)
Google Maps · C. Delgado, 4
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 560+): a new bar near the Alameda specialising in oysters with a range of sauces and champagne, including an alcohol-free one. Beyond the oysters, the tapas and the steak tartare get praise; for many it was the best dinner of their trip and a break from the tourist circuit. The hosts are very warm. For allergy sufferers: the tartare may carry traces of shellfish. Google lists no hours, so check before you go.
La Federal Bar
Feria · neighbourhood bar · 1–10 € (≈$1–11) · Mon–Fri 19:00–22:30, Sat 12:30–15:00 and 19:00–22:30, Sun 12:30–15:00
Google Maps · Instagram · C. Feria, 33
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 120+): a small neighbourhood bar on Calle Feria with high tables outside. People remember it for the beer: bottles come with ice frozen onto them, on metal plates — a lifesaver when it's still over 40 degrees at nine in the evening. The olives, negroni, Aperol spritz and cheese plate get praise, and so does the owner, for his welcome and his music.
WONDER VINTAGE SEVILLA
Feria · vintage shop · Mon–Fri 11:00–14:30 and 17:00–21:00, Sat 11:30–19:30, closed Sun
Google Maps · website · C. Feria, 40
According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 250+): vintage on the same street as La Federal — a well-chosen, well-kept selection of men's and women's clothes, shoes and accessories, better than the shops around it, many say. Prices are mid-range and up: one reviewer found a 30 € skirt steep for second-hand. Several reviews complain of a cold welcome.
One last thing
Many Seville kitchens close from 16:00–16:30 until 20:00, so if hunger strikes mid-afternoon, head to Los Coloniales or Las Columnas — they serve without a break. The Mercado de Triana closes at three (five on Sundays), Desacato is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and Chiquilla on Sundays.
