Best bars in Kazimierz, Kraków: 8 for cocktails and beer

· · 6 min read

Where to drink in Kraków at night? Kazimierz: the bars here are door to door, from Plac Nowy to Józefa and Dietla, and many stay open until three to six in the morning. Eszeweria is from my own list of saved places; the other seven are recommended by travel guides and bar guides (34travel, Goodtime Monty, Culture Trip), and I checked each one on Google: still open, rated 4.5 or higher. The descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews; I haven't added my own notes yet. Old Town cocktail bars have their own article, and the overview of the city's bars is here.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, valid as of 11 October 2026. Rate: 1 zł ≈ $0.26.

In short

  • Best cocktails: The Trust on Węgłowa, 4.9 on Google, with a story behind every drink.
  • Speakeasy: William Rabbit & Co; ring the intercom by the rabbit picture and you'll be taken downstairs.
  • Gin: tiny Gin Mill on Dietla, with dessert cocktails like tiramisu.
  • Until morning: Singer stays open until 6:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, Alchemia until 4:00.
  • Craft beer: Szklanki on Jakuba, lots of taps and a roof garden; Stara Zajezdnia, a huge brewpub.

The Trust

Kazimierz · cocktail bar · 40–60 zł (≈$10–16) · Tue–Thu 17:00–0:00, Fri–Sat 15:00–1:00, Sun 15:00–0:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · website · Węgłowa 3

According to Google Maps reviews (4.9 from 1,300+): many call it the best cocktail bar in Kraków. At the door they take your coat, show you to a table and tell you the story of every drink; some cocktails come with a small snack. The bartenders read your taste precisely, the interior is striking and the music well chosen; early in the evening there's sometimes live music.

William Rabbit & Co - speakeasy bar

Kazimierz · speakeasy · 40–60 zł (≈$10–16) · daily from 17:17, Sun–Wed until 0:00, Thu until 1:00, Fri–Sat until 2:00
Google Maps · website · Bożego Ciała 12½

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 880+): an underground bar with an Alice in Wonderland theme, and finding the door is part of it: look for a picture of a hand pressing a buzzer and a rabbit, speak into the intercom, and someone comes up to take you down. The bartenders happily riff on classics and go off menu; for the White Rabbit you name your favourite flavours and they build a drink around them. It opens, as a rabbit would, at 17:17. 34travel recommends it too (article).

Gin Mill

Kazimierz · gin bar · 40–60 zł (≈$10–16) · Tue–Thu 18:00–0:00, Fri–Sat 18:00–2:00, Sun 18:00–0:00, closed Mon
Google Maps · Facebook · Józefa Dietla 49

According to Google Maps reviews (5.0 from 660+): a tiny bar for gin lovers, where the bartender can talk you through gin history and infusions alike. The cocktails are unusual: a clear Tiramisu and a New York Cheesecake that taste exactly like the desserts, and the truffle negroni gets praise too. Water comes with your drinks, and there are snacks like olives. Space is very tight, which is exactly what guests like about it.

Kazimierz classics

Alchemia

Kazimierz · bar & café · 20–40 zł (≈$5–10) · daily 9:00–2:00, Thu until 3:00, Fri–Sat until 4:00
Google Maps · website · Estery 5

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 6,800+): a bar running since 1999, with candlelit rooms, old furniture and painted walls, and a terrace on Plac Nowy that's good for people-watching. Fair prices, filling food, vegetarian dishes. You order and pay at the bar. A fun detail: when the toilet is out of order, guests are sent to the café next door through a secret passage in a wardrobe.

Singer

Kazimierz · bar · 20–40 zł (≈$5–10) · Mon–Wed 9:00–2:00, Thu 9:00–3:00, Fri 9:00–6:00, Sat 10:00–6:00, Sun 10:00–2:00
Google Maps · Estery 20

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 4,200+): old Singer sewing machines instead of tables, well-worn furniture and an atmosphere that hasn't changed in years. Self-service, a smoking room and tables outside. Beer, wine and cherry vodka; a 0.5 l Tyskie is 19 zł (≈$5), a negroni 46 zł (≈$12). Open until six in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays.

Eszeweria

Kazimierz · bar with a garden · 20–40 zł (≈$5–10) · daily 10:00–2:00, Fri–Sat until 3:00
Google Maps · website · Józefa 9

According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 3,200+): a hidden bar with antique furniture, candles and incense. The main thing is the spacious garden out back, where on a warm evening you'll want to stay longer; umbrellas cover it when it rains. Quiet in the daytime, busy at night; three beers on tap and fair prices.

Beer

Szklanki

Kazimierz · craft beer bar · 20–40 zł (≈$5–10) · Mon 16:00–23:00, Tue–Wed 16:00–0:00, Thu 16:00–1:00, Fri 16:00–2:00, Sat 14:00–2:00, Sun 14:00–23:00
Google Maps · website · Jakuba 19

According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 1,400+): a bar with a big craft tap list, from stouts to sours, plus wine on tap. Downstairs there's a cosy courtyard and a covered terrace full of plants; upstairs, a roof garden made for sunsets. A little pricier than the other craft bars in the area; busy at weekends, and hot upstairs in summer.

Stara Zajezdnia Kraków by DeSilva

Kazimierz · brewpub · 40–120 zł (≈$10–31) · Mon–Wed 17:00–22:00, Thu 16:00–23:00, Fri 15:00–0:00, Sat 12:00–0:00, Sun 12:00–22:00
Google Maps · website · Św. Wawrzyńca 12

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 6,200+): a huge brewpub in a restored old depot building, with concerts and sports on screens. Nearly everyone praises the food, and service is quick for a place this size. The house beer divides opinion; some find it too sweet. In summer it's a good spot for a big group.

One last thing

Kazimierz cocktail bars take Mondays off: The Trust and Gin Mill are closed. On a Monday, start at Szklanki and finish at Alchemia or Singer, both open every night until 2:00 or later.
