Four of these seven places come from my saved list for Da Nang: a beachfront craft brewery, a vegan café, Pizza 4P's and the An Garden café. I added the XLIII specialty coffee house and the tiny Bia Nhà brewery, both recommended by 34travel's Da Nang guide, and later the WONDERLUST café by Hàn Market, and checked each one on Google: still open, rated 4.2 or higher. I have no notes of my own on Da Nang yet, so every description is put together from Google Maps reviews.

According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 10,100+): a big modern coffee house with koi ponds: quiet, fast Wi-Fi, good for working. English-speaking baristas help you choose beans and brewing methods, and the food gets praise too, like custard croissants and carbonara made with guanciale. The catch is the price: rare beans cost as much as a restaurant meal, and not everyone thinks the taste justifies it. 34travel recommends it too (guide).

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 1,500+): a stylish café over three open, connected floors, with greenery and stone inside: a good place to recover after Hàn Market next door or to work, as some tables have sockets. Vietnamese and coconut coffee, matcha with coconut milk, tiramisu; you order by QR code at the table. The food doesn't always look like the photos, and some found the coffee too bitter.

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 110+): a calm garden café in Hòa Khánh, in the north of the city, far from the centre and the beaches. It's above all a place for families: a tidy playground, fish to feed and plaster figurines to paint, with a good choice of coffee and tea for the adults. Not much food.

According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 3,900+): a fully vegan café in the beach quarter, airy and with outdoor seating, good for breakfast or a few hours of work. Reviewers praise the breakfast burrito, smoothie bowls, the falafel and hummus bowl, the pineapple burger and the oat milk cappuccino. Generous portions at friendly prices; the weak spots are a stingy avocado toast and canned kombucha.

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 16,700+): the Da Nang branch of the Vietnamese pizzeria with a Japanese touch, with an open kitchen and a big wood-fired oven in the middle of the room. People order the half-and-half pizza (burrata with Parma ham on one side, salmon miso on the other), crab pasta and tiramisu. Guests who have been to several branches say the quality is consistently high. Without a booking you get a queue number and a call when a table frees up.

According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 3,400+): a big brewery on a raised terrace right above the beach, with one of the best sea views in town. A very wide range of house beers, and happy hour until 18:00. The food is average and prices are well above the city norm: reviewers budget 300,000–400,000 ₫ (≈$12–16) for a beer and a snack. The best terrace tables are often reserved for the evening.

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 270+): a small brewery full of local groups, with fresh craft beer on tap, from lagers to a NEIPA and a pineapple wheat ale, plus good bar snacks (the smoked salty cheese gets special praise). A 330 ml glass is 35,000–50,000 ₫ (≈$1.40–2), rare brews a bit more; there are no bigger glasses. Relaxed enough to come alone with a book. 34travel recommends it too (guide).
One last thing
Apart from An Garden and Pizza 4P's, every place here is on the east bank of the Hàn, in An Hải and around An Thượng, close to Mỹ Khê beach. Happy hour at East West Brewing runs until 18:00 and Bia Nhà only opens at 17:00, so the two breweries fit easily into one evening.
