In the evening Nha Trang moves from the beach to the bars — from a cocktail bar and a brewery right on the sand to a street bar open until five in the morning. The bars and Gióng Cafe are from my list of saved places; I added Alpaca, a breakfast café, on the advice of travel guides and checked it on Google: still open, rated 4.2 or higher. I haven't written notes on them, so the descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews.

Prices are Google's average spend per person, and entry tickets come from visitors' reviews; valid as of 7 October 2026. Rate: 100,000 ₫ ≈ $3.85.

Coffee, cocktails and beer
Gióng Cafe
city centre · coffee shop · under 100,000 ₫ (≈under $4) · daily 7:00–22:00
Google Maps · website · 15 Trần Hưng Đạo
According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 980): a beautifully designed café that smells of fresh roasting, a good escape from the heat and a place to work. The baristas speak good English, talk you through the coffee and let you taste beans before you buy. Downside: pricey by local standards; one guest found a 60,000 ₫ (≈$2.30) espresso over-extracted and sour.
Alpaca Homestyle Cafe
tourist quarter · café, breakfast and brunch · 100,000–300,000 ₫ (≈$4–12) · daily 8:00–21:30
Google Maps · Facebook · 10/1B Nguyễn Thiện Thuật, down the alley
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 6,900+): a cosy café with fresh flowers on every table, where people come for a long breakfast: reviewers praise the scrambled eggs with salmon, syrniki, oatmeal, quesadillas, cheesecake and cold brew with orange. The staff speak English and Russian, and food comes quickly. The reviews are almost all glowing, with hardly any complaints. 34travel recommends it too (guide).
MiJack Bar Nha Trang
city centre · cocktail bar · 200,000–300,000 ₫ (≈$8–12) · daily 19:00–0:00
Google Maps · Facebook · 110 Trịnh Phong
According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 360+): a cocktail bar with attentive bartenders who also mix drinks that aren't on the menu; reviewers praise the negronis, the whisky smoked cocktails and the seafood spring rolls. Live music on some nights. Downsides: expensive for Nha Trang, little food, and the interior is a shrine to Michael Jackson (hence the name), which isn't for everyone.
Jelly Brew Pub
tourist quarter · craft beer pub · 100,000–200,000 ₫ (≈$4–8) · daily 15:00–0:00
Google Maps · 46.4 Hùng Vương
According to Google Maps reviews (4.6 from 430): a corner pub in an alley in the middle of the tourist area, with its own beer on tap, a fridge of other craft beers and a small upstairs balcony over the street. Cheap, too: big beer cocktails cost under 100,000 ₫ (≈$4). The food is a surprise, especially the Thai-style raw jellyfish and prawn salad and the snack platter. Downside: it's loud, more a place to meet people than for a quiet evening.
Nhà Bar
tourist quarter · bar with dancing · 100,000–600,000 ₫ (≈$4–23) · daily 19:00–2:30, Fri–Sat until 4:00
Google Maps · Villa 23, Hẻm 86B Trần Phú
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 620+): a bar in a villa tucked into an alley off the seafront, with a Thai-style interior, neon signs, happy hours, good cocktails and music that gets people dancing. Plenty of guests come back every night. Downside: not all the staff understand English.
Louisiane Brewhouse
Trần Phú seafront · brewpub & restaurant on the beach · 200,000–800,000 ₫ (≈$8–31) · daily 7:00–1:00
Google Maps · website · Lô 29 Trần Phú
According to Google Maps reviews (4.3 from 4,600+): a brewery right on the beach, with its own beer (including 3- and 5-litre towers), live music, sea views and a mix of tourists and locals. The menu is huge, from Vietnamese dishes to sushi and pizza. Downsides: above-average prices, too few waiters for the crowd, and the European food is so-so.
Connect Pub
tourist quarter · street bar · 200,000–300,000 ₫ (≈$8–12) · Mon–Sat 16:00–5:00, Sun 16:00–0:00
Google Maps · 107 Nguyễn Thiện Thuật
According to Google Maps reviews (4.1 from 380): an open-air corner bar with tables on the street, shisha, snacks and burgers until the small hours; a good spot for people-watching and meeting people. Downsides: pricey for a street bar, with a Heineken at 69,000 ₫ (≈$2.70) plus a 5% service charge, and the burger is small.
One last thing
An easy evening: sunset with a beer at Louisiane Brewhouse on the beach, then cocktails at MiJack (from 19:00) and dancing at Nhà Bar, which stays open until 4:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
