Vintage shopping in Palermo: 6 shops in the centre

· · 4 min read

In Palermo, vintage shops hide between spritz restaurants and old palazzi. This part of my Palermo guide is about shopping: four vintage shops, a classic menswear store and an optician with antique glasses, all from my list of saved places. The descriptions are put together from Google Maps reviews. I'll add my own notes after the trip.

Prices are from Google Maps reviews, hours from Google; valid as of 1 October 2026. Rate: 1 € ≈ $1.13.

In short

  • Vintage: Street Vintage Market on Via Garibaldi and Magazzini Anita on Via Maqueda.
  • Leather and records: Marlon Vintage Store in Politeama, with a big range but almost nothing under 20 €.
  • Bags with certificates: Très Chic Vintage, with Chanel and Gucci in near-new condition.
  • If your glasses break: Ottica Ognibene by the Quattro Canti fixes them in a minute, often for free.

Shopping

Street Vintage Market

Kalsa · vintage store · Mon–Fri 10:30–20:30, Sat until 22:00, closed Sunday
Google Maps · Instagram · Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, 74

According to Google Maps reviews (4.7 from 60+): trendy vintage, including leather jackets, graphic tees, sports jerseys and accessories. The owners are friendly, and English works fine.

Magazzini Anita

Via Maqueda · vintage clothes & bags · Mon–Sat 11:00–19:30, closed Sunday
Google Maps · Via Maqueda, 263

According to Google Maps reviews (4.0 from 70+): vintage from the '60s to the '90s in excellent condition, with bags and clothes in unusual designs; for some it's the best vintage shop in Sicily. A surprise on a street lined mostly with spritz restaurants. Downside: reviews of the staff are split, with some praising them and others describing a cold welcome and being watched closely.

Marlon Vintage Store

Politeama · vintage & records · Mon 16:00–20:00, Tue–Sat 10:30–13:00 and 16:00–20:00, closed Sunday
Google Maps · Via Paolo Paternostro, 41A/41B

According to Google Maps reviews (4.5 from 130+): a big vintage store with leather, coats, boots, denim jackets, kimonos, skirts, even bikes, plus a good record collection. Downsides: it's pricey, with almost nothing under 20 €, some clothes show real wear, and the psychedelic music is very loud.

Très Chic Vintage

Politeama · pre-owned designer bags · Mon 16:30–19:30, Tue–Sat 10:00–13:00 and 16:30–19:30, closed Sunday
Google Maps · website · Via Trapani, 4

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 270+): a shop for second-hand designer bags from Chanel, Gucci and others, in near-new condition and with certificates. Many buy online via WhatsApp and get fast delivery. Downside: one review calls the staff rude.

DELL'OGLIO 1890

Politeama · menswear · Mon 16:30–20:00, Tue–Sat 10:00–13:30 and 16:30–20:00, closed Sunday
Google Maps · website · Via Ruggiero Settimo, 26

According to Google Maps reviews (4.4 from 90): a classic menswear store stocking Italian brands that are hard to find abroad, from suits and blazers to sweaters and shoes. Reviewers praise the quality, the off-the-rack fit and staff who patiently help put an outfit together. Downside: for one buyer, the in-store shoe polish stained his trousers.

Ottica Ognibene

Quattro Canti · optician & vintage eyewear · Mon–Fri 10:00–19:00, Sat until 18:30, closed Sunday
Google Maps · website · Via Vittorio Emanuele, 324

According to Google Maps reviews (4.8 from 50): a small optician with one-of-a-kind frames and a display case of antique glasses. The owner patiently helps you choose without any hard sell. Broken glasses get fixed on the spot, often for free, which is a lifesaver if it happens mid-trip.

One last thing

Palermo runs on siesta: many shops close from about 13:00 to 16:30 and stay shut on Monday mornings. Save shopping for the evening, and note that every shop on this list is closed on Sunday.

More on Palermo: where to eat and drink, street food and sweets, what to see.
